Families of the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing gathered on Saturday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. A bagpiper played "The Bells

of Dunblane" as families, runners, and public officials including Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Governor Maura Healey walked to the memorial sites near the finish line, where they laid wreaths and stood silently with the families at each site.

Later in the day, a brief ceremony was held at the marathon finish line, where bells rang followed by a moment of silence.

Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured when two pressure-cooker bombs went off at the marathon finish line. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the two bombers, was sentenced to death and is currently awaiting an appeals court ruling on his latest bid to avoid execution. Photo by Aaron Tang, Wikimedia commons.
